More cool stuff

I helped launch product design at a software startup. In addition to the work itself (there are a few examples on this site) I was a champion for UX, helping the organization build value through design. I did this by applying industry process and rooting designs in problem-first, human centered design thinking.
I began my career in magazine publishing and also know what it takes to be a freelance business owner helping organizations build and market their brands. My career evolved over the years—as the industry transformed—and my skill sets turned to digital brands, web properties, and ultimately SaaS products.
I have always been a student of design: My BA is in graphic design, I’m a certified User Experience Designer from the and gearing up for my next education adventure. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work with diverse individuals and I am continually humbled by all types of design thinkers.
When I’m not designing software you can find me styling my house plants, baking something delicious (my partner wants me to mention the scones), cruising 1stDibs to score a one of a kind piece of vintage furniture, or reading artist biographies. Oh, and I have a dog, he is everything.
